The following is an extract from messages from David's friends Sue and Chris, who worked with David in Aylesbury.

"David remains the best boss I have ever had.  He put the Human into Human Resources and showed such courage in challenging the entrenched opinions in Haddenham.  The faith he showed in me and the role model he provided gave me the confidence in my subsequent career to speak up for and promote the interests of others who deserve a second chance.   

His battle with Parkinson's  was also conducted with courage and stoicism... we would love to join you at the funeral, to celebrate the life of good and decent man and say goodbye."
